The discussion took place in the conference hall of the NSA and was opened by the rector of the Sports Academy, Prof. Krasimir Petkov. Among them were Olympic champions Rumyana Neykova, Tereza Marinova, and Ivett Goranova, Iliana Raeva, Sani Zhekova, Antonina Zetova. Together with former sports ministers Vesela Lecheva and Svilen Neykov, they shared their experience as athletes, coaches, and participants in the management of Bulgarian sports.

GAME, SET, EQUALITY - Empowering Women in Tennis

All participants rallied around the idea that similar events should become a traditional forum for sharing other aspects of the realization of Bulgarian female athletes.

The role of female sports journalists was discussed by Prof. Efrem Efremov, Vladislava Lazarova (BTV), and Asen Spiridonov (Eurosport).

The information from the event was a valuable addition to the research of SC Dema, related to the club’s project “Game, Set, Equality” under the “Erasmus-Sport 2023” program, aimed at the implementation of female coaches and referees in tennis.
